St Paul's, TCDSB |
The grade one/two class at St Paul's has been a garbage-free class (i.e. no garbage pail) since September!
Instead of a garbage can they are reusing, recycling, and composting.

The class does not always achieve 100% litterless lunches as there are a few new children and some that need reminders, but overall the participation is high.
The kids keep a daily yes/no check on who is/isn't bringing a litterless lunch. Any garbage brought in is "boomeranged" back home |

Student work adds vibrant energy to eco-team communications, engaging peers.
Pictured to the left are student eco-pledges in the shape of footprints. This was a culminating task after students had completed an ecological footprint activity.

This is a reminder that in order to qualify for certification, EcoReviews must be spaced 3 months apart. Therefore, to qualify for 2008-2009 certification, initial EcoReviews must be completed by January 30, 2009. |
