continued: Pine Grove Public School's human imprints on nature, integrated curriculum

Students then used their favourite nature shots and manipulated them on the computer as part of their culminating task. The students will create a set of blank cards for family and friends using the photos. The students were expected to consider quality of light (recognizing good lighting conditions), strong graphic design, and emotional elements in their work.

This trip heightened the students awareness of the beautiful natural environment and the human imprints people have left on it. This study complimented their background knowledge of eco-friendly practices in their homes, school, and local community. Pine Grove intermediate students have critically examined the connection between practices within their homes and their impact on the natural world.
